Hello there, friends!  I promise to keep this short so you can carry on with your weekend…which I hope you thoroughly enjoy, by the way!;) ( Having a hard time keepin' my peepers open!)  Check out this new inspiration over at Festive Friday

Did NOT know what to do with this one!!!  I have no sled OR skates and I'm all 'snowflaked' out!!!  And there's just not a lot of detail to choose from, right???  I have to tell ya, I was just NOT inspired. But, hey…it IS a challenge, right???  I was determined…and the card I came up with is growing on me…I actually kind of LIKE it!!!

It's really CAS looking…

But so is the photo, right???  There's a combo of WPlus9 and Simon Says up there, and I hope you know I'm always willing to answer questions you might have about supplies.  I've seen what the rest of the team has to offer and you don't want to miss it!!!  So head on over to Festive Friday!  Soak in that gorgeous inspiration…and then you have about 2 weeks to come up with something of your own…and that's ALL KINDS of time!!!;)  Thanks for stopping in today!!!

~pretty in pink~

Friday, September 19, 2014

Hey, all!!!  I'm here today with a little Festive Friday inspiration to go along with the current challenge…already a week underway…

Now, I have to agree with a couple of the participants…I'm more traditional when it comes to decorating at the holidays…but this sure is a pretty color scheme to work with for something different.  I found some pretty (old) paper that was vintage inspired…I think it's Melissa Frances…some pale pink card stock and a pillow box template, and got to work…OK,…maybe 'playing' would be a better word…

…there was no work involved when it came to creating with these lovely colors!

This first one was easy…tied the trim around the box and embellished with a chipboard snowflake I already had on hand and an unused silver Spellbinder medallion die cut.  Finished that one off with the button and jewel.
The next one was a little more fussy…

…layered the paper on the card stock and added the doily and velvet ribbon.  Then came the Simon Says snowflakes.  (Those things would make a pile of cow poop look pretty, I think! They're so intricate!)  The center embellie is from a Hobby Lobby Spare Parts set.

I gave the last one a horizontal orientation with a half a doily, tied a little twine around it, and layered on the same snowflakes.  These dies are so easy to use, by the way, with the glittered cardstock.  Even though this pre-glittered paper is heavy…they cut fine using the metal shim, and the weight of the paper holds up better when it's time to pull your cut away from the rest of the paper.  They're so intricate, they're not the easiest things to glitter yourself…so I stick with the heavy pre-sparkled stuff!;)  You can see I cut a pink one and layered it under my top white one.  I liked just the hint of pink showing through.  A glittered button and pearl finished this one off!

And that's it…a basket of pretty pink pillow boxes to give away at Christmas!
You have until this Wednesday to get in on this pretty pink challenge at Festive Friday, and I know the team has more lovely inspiration waiting for you there!

Thanks for stopping in today!!!

~Day 3…Hopping with Tombow USA and Precious Remembrance~

Sunday, September 7, 2014

Here we are on the last day of the Blog Hop with Tombow and Precious Remembrance.  It's been a treat to play with these products this week, and as you know…YOU have a chance to add LOTS of great products to your crafting arsenal by joining in the hop...

Yep…someone who hops along and comments will win Precious Remembrance's Coffee LoveOh So Fun, and Thanks stamp sets, and Tombow's Dual Brush Pen set (Retro), along with both the MONO Aqua Liquid Glue and the MONO Glue Pen!

Let's get to the final day's inspiration, shall we?  I have two very different cards to share today, so I'll be brief with the chit chat.  I'll highlight the Tombow and Precious Remembrance products used, and if you have any questions about anything else, just let me know in your comment.

My first card would be for you neat and tidy, CAS designers.  When the Thanks set first came out, I designed a card (one of my personal all time fave's) using this sentiment with the '2' and the 'u'…

I've always wanted to try it again in a different design, so that's what I've done today…with the help of the Mono Aqua Liquid Glue.  I used it to stack up several of the 2's and u's to give them thickness and dimension, like chipboard.  Those were some skinny little numbers and letters, but the Mono glue was perfect for it…able to apply the tiniest dabs of glue with no mess.

Next up is a much shabbier card using the cute cups from the Coffee Love set…

Tombow was generous enough to provide the team with a set of the Dual Brush Pens (along with the glues) and I had the Coffee Love images in mind when I chose the Portrait set.  These colors were perfect for giving the cups and sleeves some warm, distressed color while working with one of my favorite colors…PINK!;)

Those cups aren't giant…it's a small card…only about 41/2" square.;)
I've enjoyed sharing with you over the last few days and appreciate your visits!  And I most certainly appreciate Tombow's invitation to hop with them, and the generous products they provided…it was a joy working with them!  (Not to mention...I found a new glue love along the way!;)
You can carry on with the hop by visiting Jennie or heading to Tombow to start back at the beginning.

Thanks so much!

~Day 2…Hopping with Tombow USA and Precious Remembrance~

Saturday, September 6, 2014

Hello, and welcome back for day 2 of the Tombow / Precious Remembrance Blog Hop.  If you missed out yesterday…take a look at the sweet prize package these two companies are offering up at the close of the hop...

Yep…someone will win Precious Remembrance's Coffee LoveOh So Fun, and Thanks stamp sets, and Tombow's Dual Brush Pen set (Retro), along with both the MONO Aqua Liquid Glue and the MONO Glue Pen.
For today's project, I chose one of my favorite little sentiments from the PR Thanks set

You can see I created a sunny space behind the sentiment.  (All the colors used on today's project are from the Jellybean Dual Pen set.)  I scribbled down a little bit of the yellow and orange on one of my acrylic blocks.  Then, using my aqua-flo brush, I started by applying the lighter yellow, and then deepened the center with the orange.  I stamped the sentiment on top of this sunny little area, using a dab of Post-it tape to cover the heart.  After stamping in black (minus the heart),  I cleaned the stamp, inked up the heart only with one of the pink Dual Pens, lined the image back up, and stamped.  (Glossy Accents was added to the heart.)
Then I had fun and using some blue, green, and violet Dual Pens, and more water on some little die cut clouds…

That little strip of glittered paper was done so easily with the Liquid Glue.  The broad end of the dispenser has tiny little flexible 'fingers' that spread the glue thinly and evenly all the way down my skinny little strip.  Then, I used the opposite end to dab the tiniest bit of glue on the sequins.  Oooo…I DO love this glue…SO much control with the fine tip side…it's a new favorite!!!

No…I'm not a big 'marker girl'…but I found working with these Dual Pens is such a forgiving process…you can't help but have fun and feel good about the finished product!  Hope you like it, too!

Now, if you're following the hop, you came to me from Melissa Chipperfield's blog, and if you missed her or are just starting the hop, you may want to head back to Tombow USA for the complete hop list.  Otherwise, continue on with Jennie Garcia's blog.
To be eligible for the prize package above, you'll need to comment on all the Designers blogs, as well as the company blog, and you'll also want to 'like' Tombow USA and Precious Remembrance on Facebook!

Enjoy the rest of the hop!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

~Blog Hop with Tombow USA and Precious Remembrance~

Friday, September 5, 2014

Hey, everyone!  Welcome!  Today begins a fun Blog Hop with Tombow and Precious Remembrance teaming up to bring you lots of inspiration and a great give-away...

Yep…someone will win Precious Remembrance's Coffee Love, Oh So Fun, and Thanks stamp sets, and Tombow's Dual Brush Pen set (Retro), along with both the MONO Aqua Liquid Glue and the MONO Glue Pen
Look fun???  Well, I hope so!  Designers from both Tombow and Precious Remembrance have projects to share using these fun products! So...let the inspiration begin...

I used the 'Oh So Fun' set for today's project.  You can see I first stamped the small jar in a soft gray, covering the card.  Then I stamped an extra in black and cut it out.  I used some bright and cheery colors from Tombow's Jellybean Pen Set to add some 'candy hearts' to my jar using the tiny heart included in the 'Coffee Love' set.  I also added just a touch of glitter to the hearts (which doesn't really show here) using the Mono Glue Pen.  I stamped the HB sentiment, popped the jar up using foam adhesive, and added the twine and bow with the Aqua Liquid Glue, and was all done!

If you're following the hop, you came to me from Melissa Chipperfield's blog, and if you missed her or are just starting the hop, you may want to head back to Tombow USA for the complete hop list.  Otherwise, continue on with Jennie Garcia's blog.
To be eligible for the prize package above, you'll need to comment on all the Designers blogs, as well as the company blog, and you'll also want to 'like' Tombow USA and Precious Remembrance on Facebook!
ENJOY!!!
(And thanks so much for stopping in!)
